My Mcvegan story

I'll say this right off the bat: I have never experienced my body physically and emotionally as I am right now here in Maui! I am very much in touch with my mind, I shut off the voices in the mind, the thoughts, the questions, and work as much as I can on letting go of all those egoic state of minds. Being in control of the mind in turn allows me to feel much more differently than I usually feel. See when someone asks "How's it going?" most people in turn say "Just the usual" which is sometimes a direct reflection of many things in their life: usual feelings, usual daily routines, usual schedule... WTF?! I have no time or space to judge but those who do unusual things are sometimes the ones who have unusual success, they are successful, how they got there is not usual but then again if you were to research the way some people achieved success, you would notice that not one person did it the same as the other. I digressed, I mean I digested... ok so back to the theme here, I feel my feelings. I also do my best to eat off of the land and all that is grown here. Taking that into account, I have been eating many vegetables and fruits and I use oil or oil-based cooking agents once a week. That being said, I have noticed the rare times that I have eaten out has left me feeling, for lack of a better word, SICK! So, today, I went with some friends to a vegan outdoor joint in the close town of Haiku. This was the second time I came to this place which is hard to describe aside from it being a school bus at one point and is now colorfully painted and is stocked with a fully working kitchen inside of it. First time I ate here, I had eaten maybe 2 hours before eating a nice big meal at this... school bus and my stomach felt a little uneasy after eating there. My only conclusion was that I had just stuffed myself very big! I had a small thought that maybe the excess oil on my plate could have led to my uncomfortable stomach. So I gave this place another chance today. We went there for brunch. I got the eggs benedict (complete with some potatoes and served on top of a belgian waffle). I also only drank water. This was my first meal of the day and I felt pretty good right after eating eat. However, I felt very "greasy" soon after leaving the eh um... school bus. Once we got back to the farm, I and my friend Nelson went into the yoga room to lie down. After about an hour of laying down, we started talking and both agreed the food did not sit well with us. The only culprit in this case we thought could have been the oil. It should be noted by all that just because something is vegetarian or vegan for that case it doesn't mean it's entirely healthy and in this case if too much oil was the case well oil, any oil, yes even olive oil is all 100% FAT! No other way to describe or explain it... it's all fat! I think I will keep making my meals and maintaining my oil intake very low if any.
