So, my sister, Hillary, returns from Italy tomorrow! She's been in Italy for a month, living with a family who took care of her. I hope her trip did her well in many ways. Traveling and exploring, furthermore, experiencing new cultures is all a part of this world, it exists in this world. Just think: right now at this very moment there are hundreds of different things going on in the world, everything and anything you can think of is happening this very moment somewhere on this planet! Yet, how will we know the many different magnificent and crazy things that can happen in our world without leaving the place we're comfortable with?
Most of the time, many people generalize that the world is crazy but not them, "It's everyone but me" is the though. The mind creates separation by itself, we just go with what it says. Our minds are a gift but most people allow it to go on autopilot and let it sort things out on it's own. The mind can store many things as well, so what have we stored in our minds that make us hesitant? What have we stored that makes us feel certain emotions at certain times? Why do we come up certain with conclusions about a person or people? Again, our mind is more powerful than we think. I don't agree with comparisons there are about the mind and technology. Sure, a computer has it's own brain and we can even use the computer as an example of how our mind works e.g. we go online and suddenly a pop-up ad shows up, similarly to how a street vendor or advertiser will try to hand us a piece of paper, but usually in both cases we just don't pay attention to it and go on with our business. Now, can the computer also say "These people need to get better jobs instead of handing out pieces of paper nobody cares for"? No, but our minds can and sometimes they do for some people. As powerful and beautiful as our minds are we must be conscious of what the voice in our head is saying sometimes, that little voice can lead to many different things. The voice must be plain and simply be put to rest and that way we can live our lives in our present moment.
