I have been working out on a very consistent basis here in Maui. Today, I went for a 6 mile jog, to and from a beautiful waterfall. My friend said it seemed like my pace got better on the way back to the farm, as he felt opposite. I do get told that I seem to be in shape and that I must eat healthy too. When I arrived back to NYC, I received a lot of this from friends and family who were surprised at how my muscles grew yet they couldn't believe I still don't eat meat or dairy! Well, veganism aside, I must say a big part of this picture is also my hydration! On a regular basis now, I am drinking 3 liters or water daily (as opposed to the daily 2 liters I did back on the mainland). I am fortunate enough as to even be able to drink alkaline water from the filter... ALKALINE WATER!!! Everyday!!! Ok, I'll stop making you all jealous, but in all seriousness, water is such an integral part of our bodies. On an even larger scale, the world is made up of close to 70% water, our bodies are said to be around 70-75% water... get the picture? Drinking lots of water a day brings about newness to oneself. Daily water rids the body of the old, lying-around water that has lost some of it's mineral value, it's basically just in your body because it has to be but yet it's not even real water if you don't drink enough water everyday. Water is obviously a big part of everyone and everything as a whole. Even scientifically, that is if you come from the belief that science can prove things, it is a fact that in order for there to be life anywhere within our universe's depth there must be water. Even in our past, droughts have led to the death of societies or it has brought life to new parts of the world. Without water there is no life, you are water, you must respect this and tend to it.
This video is about 11 minutes long. In short, Tony Robbins and his wife Sage, explain the dependency of water within the body and how much certain body parts are made up of water itself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dezkVFUDSBo
