Aloha!

Time flies!!! AHHH!!! That's the biggest realization since I arrived here on Maui last Friday. So, it's almost a week now, I thought I'd share with you all just a little of what I've been experiencing here on Maui. Also, I will cover why I came out here in the first place. So far, all I can say is that I am living a dream, it is surreal, I cannot believe where I find myself right now. Luck has nothing to do with any of this either, it's all about following your heart and living your dreams, I just want to put that out there before I delve into the rest of Maui. This really is a tropical paradise. Yesterday, we drove into Pa'ia, a small town about 15-20 minutes from where we are on the farm. On the drive there, the only highway into town is on the coast of Maui, so you can only imagine the amazing views of the ocean, sky, and mountains you see on the way into town, it's always breathtaking. Maui has become another home for now, in a little less than a week, and at this point, I can easily assess, for myself, where I have a home and where I don't, and there is no doubt I can call Maui another home. Maui teaches one how life should be. It has a beautiful smell in the air that I could smell coming out of the airport. The erratic weather out here is an example of how powerful mother nature is and can be. The biggest lesson that Maui, or at least where I am living and working has taught me, is that food should always be treated well, as such so should any piece of land. In the end, we all are a part of this world, we are all one together, we must all care for where we came from because it sure does care about us.
So as to why I came out to Maui? Well, I'm young, dumb, and want to have fun... any more questions? Well this calling that I've had for Maui has been in me for sometime now and yes, I am young, to some what I am doing is "dumb" (however, all I ask is that I respect everyone's decisions in life so please respect mine's) and life is a game, I want to have some fun while playing this game of life. I also follow powerful mentors, one of which is Anthony Robbins, a world renown life coach who hosts a week long "life-changing" session out here on Maui. So I needed to see why he hosts it out here, I've followed this mentor for years now and I wanted to see what he sees. Another mentor I follow is a spiritual guide, Wayne Dyer. Wayne has written some powerful work which I love and he wrote it while being here on Maui as well. So I had 2 very important people to me create great work on Maui, I had to experience what they experienced. Now as far as how am I living here? I also love organic food (I usually prefer organic food), mainly organic produce. Meredith, a close friend of mine's, turned me onto this volunteer program she once did in California, it's called WorldWide Opportunities on Organic Farms (AKA WWOOF). I started doing my research in February of this year. After a few doors closed on some farms I started a dialogue with, I knew I found the right one, Hale Akua Garden Farm! WHOOOHOOO!!! I will update more on my blog soon, the sun and winds are taking my attention right now. Nature itself out here is so wonderful. I must go but will be back soon ;)
