Dude I watched Chris Rock's movie, Good Hair last night and it just proved to me I am not crazy or wrong! I told someone I really care about for years that I like their hair without any chemicals, anything fake, just natural! They just don't get it! Now, they stop putting stuff on their hair but they still have problems with their image.
The movie showed the ugly, fake image that black women give themselves and it's all trash! I have had this idea for as long as I can remember and I know what is real and was it fake and in many ways I know this. Black women have been degraded for years and years. I once had a supervisor who studied black history she explained "The black man feels inferior to the white man so he wants to feel superior so he dresses very opposite of the white man, he becomes violent, and he treats his women differently" and that superior/inferior feelings transfers over to black women.
Like who started with straight long hair? White women! Who followed? Black women! Who started with make-up? White women! And who followed? Black women!!! The list goes on and on but I can tell and see a real black woman from a mile away. I know why they are real. I know some of them who are real inside but still follow the lifestyle of others, they lack creativity. Think about all the dumb stuff that women wear and look at who started wearing it first. Thongs!, short shorts, skin tight jeans, short dresses, but no nowadays it's not short shorts or skin tight jeans, it's just shorts, jeans, dresses, oh and thongs are just thongs and it's ok.
We have developed into smart beings, we have created incredible advances in technology, medicine, and many others but yet we are so lost, so confused into all of that, that we are lost and confused with ourselves. We have lost so much of our true beauty, we wear what has been taught looks nice. We see it in the store and buy it without regard for respect with our bodies. Maybe I'm just talking crazy but I will show you the women who I know are real, beautiful, and black and as much as some of them are truly and naturally beautiful, some still lack to think and know what is beauty and what is ugliness.
Maybe one day all black women will let their hair be nappy. Maybe one day all black women will leave the clothes that the white woman started wearing and wear their own creative clothing, when you go shopping every store has the same clothes ughhhhh it's so ugly!, Maybe one day all black women will show their true beauty in the most natural way, they won't wear the clothes they've been influenced to wear, they won't wear the make-up sold at every store, they will treat themselves with as much respect as they have for others, they will teach others about real beauty because if not, I will.
